# Add content and order the stages

A stage combines content with a passing requirement. Decide the learning sequence before arranging map positions.

## 04 Choose content and open the review step

1. On the new draft map, select “Add stage” to open “Set stage content”.
2. Choose “Doc2Sim simulation” and search for one of your own published materials. “Phone greeting” is an example name, not a built-in material you must find.
3. Check the card title and version. Expand “Details” to read its description, then select the card and check that it has a selection mark.
4. Select “Review selection”. Wait for “Confirm adding…”; configure its clear rule in the next step before adding it.
5. For a document or video, choose “Uploaded PDF” or “Uploaded video” instead, select a file, wait for upload, then select “Review selection”. Videos must be MP4, WebM, or OGG files.

A content type is not a selected resource. Confirm usable content and its version, even when titles are identical.

Select Doc2Sim simulation, then choose the published material to add.

**What you should see**The confirmation shows the content name, stage number, display name and clear rule. It is not on the map yet; confirm the rule in the next step.

When the result is different

For missing simulations, clear the search and check the workspace and publication state. Resolve upload errors before continuing. Videos accept MP4, WebM and OGG files, not a video-platform page URL.

## 05 Set a clear rule and add the stages you need

1. In “Confirm adding…”, check the material and stage number. Change “Stage name (optional)” if learners need a clearer title.
2. For a simulation, choose “Reach any ending” as the clear rule: the learner must finish an attempt and reach an ending. For PDF or video, choose “Progress threshold” and enter 90 in “Minimum completion (%)”.
3. Select “Add … to journey”. Wait for the dialog to close and a node to appear. One stage is enough to continue to review and activation; three materials are not required.
4. If you need more stages, repeat the content-selection and confirmation steps. The three-stage example uses any outcome for empathy practice, then selected successful outcomes for complaint handling. Only choose endings actually provided by your material.

The first two stages practise a full interaction; the third checks a correct decision. Accepting any ending there could also accept failure. Ending names come from your materials, not this example. Check the progress threshold for PDFs or videos instead.

**What you should see**The dialog closes and the new node can be selected. Check your actual count: one material means one stage; only the full example needs three.

When the result is different

If the desired ending or score option is missing, check the selected material and version. Only supported capabilities are selectable. Do not invent ending names or arbitrarily use 80 points for every assessment.

## 06 Check each stage, save its rule and confirm the order

1. Select the first map node to open “Stage details”. Check its name and clear rule.
2. After changes, select “Save stage”, then select the node again to review the saved values. To replace material, use “Set stage content” and review the new material and its rule before saving.
3. With one stage, continue. With several, check their numbers against the intended learning order. The example is greeting → empathy → complaint handling.
4. To correct an order, select the node and use “Move up” or “Move down”. Dragging its map position does not change learning order.

Stage numbers determine unlock order. Dragging changes position only. To replace material, use Set stage content and check the capabilities again.

**What you should see**Changes report success and the saved values remain when you select the node again. Stage numbers match your own intended training order.

When the result is different

Retry a capability-loading failure rather than treating it as no requirements. Resolve save errors. On an active journey, stage changes require publishing a new version; saving alone does not update learner content.
