4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR / FADP)

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a Contract: Processing is necessary to provide SpeedL services you have subscribed to, including delivering simulations, managing your account, and responding to support inquiries.
  • Consent: For specific processing activities — such as the use of non-essential cookies and the transmission of uploaded content to third-party AI processors — we rely on your explicit, informed consent, which you may withdraw at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.
  • Legitimate Interests: We process certain data (usage analytics, security monitoring, feedback collection) based on our legitimate business interests, provided these do not override your fundamental rights.
  • Legal Obligation: We may process personal data to comply with applicable legal requirements, including data security obligations.

5. Disclosure of Information to Third Parties

We may share your information with the following categories of third-party service providers who assist us in operating SpeedL. All such providers are bound by Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and are required to protect your data:

  • OpenAI, L.L.C. (United States) — AI language model provider for natural language processing and simulation generation.
  • Anthropic PBC (United States) — AI language model provider for supplementary natural language processing and simulation generation tasks.
  • Amazon Web Services, Inc. (United States) — cloud computing, hosting, and data storage infrastructure.
  • Google LLC (United States) — AI language model and document processing services used in the simulation generation pipeline, as well as identity and authentication services accessed via Google OAuth 2.0 single sign-on.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. Artificial Intelligence

SpeedL uses artificial intelligence services, specifically OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, to process documents you upload and generate interactive decision simulations. This processing involves natural language processing of the content you provide.

By uploading documents to SpeedL, you acknowledge that:

  • Your document content will be transmitted to third-party AI provider APIs solely for the purpose of generating your requested simulations, in accordance with their respective enterprise data processing terms.
  • Memin Technology does not use the content of your uploaded documents, nor any personally identifiable information derived therefrom, to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any AI or machine learning model, whether operated by Memin Technology or any third party.
  • Memin Technology may use platform usage data, operational metrics, and error reports generated through your use of the Service (including anonymized simulation interaction data and system performance logs) to maintain, improve, and develop the SpeedL platform. Such data does not include the content of your uploaded documents or any personally identifiable information.

We recommend not uploading documents containing sensitive personal data unless it is necessary for your training scenario and you have the appropriate legal authorization to do so.

7. Online Posting / Uploaded Content

When you upload documents or other content to SpeedL, that content is processed solely to generate your requested simulations. We do not publicly publish, share, or distribute your uploaded content to other users or third parties beyond what is necessary to deliver the service.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar web tracking technologies (such as web beacons) to operate our platform, maintain your session, and analyze usage patterns.

For detailed information about the types of cookies we use, their purposes, and how to manage your preferences, please refer to our Cookie Policy.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active and as needed to provide you with SpeedL services. Upon account closure or upon your request, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, unless we are required to retain certain data for up to 5 years to comply with legal obligations (such as tax and accounting requirements), resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

Uploaded documents and generated simulations are retained for the duration of your active subscription. Upon account termination, uploaded content is deleted within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely for service improvement purposes.

10. International Data Transfers

Memin Technology Inc. is headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan. Your data may be processed and stored on servers located in Taiwan and transferred to third-party service providers operating in the United States.

For transfers of personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to countries not deemed adequate by the European Commission, we rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914, Module 2: Controller to Processor) as the appropriate safeguard. Where our sub-processors are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, we may additionally rely on that framework as a valid transfer mechanism. We assess the legal environment of recipient countries and implement supplementary technical measures where necessary to ensure your data remains protected.

11. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission, access controls, and regular security assessments.
